Collection: Bless Stories India

On a recent trip to India to study the Himalayan art of sound healing I met a young woman who not only shared my passion for handcrafted textiles and the richness of colour but also for people and their stories. We both share a deep and authentic curiosity for life. Despite living in different continents and of different generations we struck up a friendship that gives us both the opportunity to learn from each other. One of our rich conversations led me to ask Shruti what her dream was. Straight away I recognised the picture she painted of women feeling empowered and happy at work, of not being overlooked, of bright and beautiful textiles, of women coming together feeling love and pride in their work and creations.  It was a dreamy place where women can make their own choices, where they can continue to learn and where they are valued and respected. It had all the makings of a collaboration.

We are at the very beginning of our dream journey and despite the challenges and obstacles we are going to try to make it a reality.  The joy and laughter will be in the light filled moments, the frustrations and learning will be where the shadow casts her shade - it will be a whole life experience.

Bless Stories India isn't a fashion collection - it is a sisterhood, an experience, an expression. It is colour, texture and sound.  It is love, hope and a dare-to-dream ride of a lifetime.
